Time isn’t on the side of Elkhart’s time capsule.
Officials in the Indiana city wanted to open the capsule for Elkhart’s Sesquicentennial Celebration.
But no one can remember where the time capsule was buried in 1958.
Some people even doubt there ever was a time capsule.
The plan had been to dig up and display the items in it.
New items would have been added and the capsule reburied until 2058.
Officials tell The Truth newspaper they’ll go ahead with a new time capsule if the old can’t be found.
