Fidel Castro says Barack Obama is smarter and less warlike than John McCain, who he calls “old” and “uncultured.“
But the longtime Cuban leader is expressing skepticism about both men, and stopping short of endorsing either one for U.S. president.
Castro says Obama won’t be concerned about “the overwhelming problems of the world.“ But then again, he says, McCain won’t care about such issues either as a former fighter pilot who dropped “tons of bombs on the city of Hanoi” during the Vietnam War.
The 82-year-old former Cuban president has not been seen in public for more than two years. His comments came in a column carried by state-controlled newspapers. His younger brother Raul
formally succeeded him as president in February.

Why in the world would the American citizen even care whether Fidel Castro, or any of the worlds dictators, terrorists, or madmen, “endorses” either of the Presidential candidates? Why does the Associated Press think the American public cares what a communist thinks? Unless the candidate he is endorsing shares his politics and dictatorial ideas.
