A Residential West Monroe, Louisiana neighborhood turned into the back drop for a high speed chase that some say looked like a scene from a Hollywood movie.
That chase, involving $75,000 worth of drugs ends when the car crashes in someone’s front yard. A routine traffic stop quickly turns into a high speed chase Tuesday morning.
Monroe resident Alvin Dubose was pulled over and talking to police when he quickly gets in his car, is tazed, and still manages to start the chase. He left behind his friend, Shakeba Williams. The two are believed to be high level drug dealers. And were toting $75,000 worth of ecstasy in a Fruit Loop box.
Dubose leads deputies on a dangerous route along Interstate 20. West Monroe police threw spikes down, but were still unable to stop the car. As the car furiously speeds through a school zone deputies hit the car to stop it. The car narrowly misses a house, as deputies swarm the car and arrest the suspect.
