Experts: below-freezing temperatures can hurt your car

The below-freezing temperatures in the Lowcountry could take a toll on your autombile, but there are things you can do to keep your car up and running.

News 2 checked with the experts.  Here’s their advice:

- do not warm up your car longer than five minutes

- check your car battery for erosion and wear

- change the car fluids, especially the oil

- make sure tires are inflated to the right pressure.
