Making the switch to Digital TV is simple.

- If you have cable or satellite service the switch is handled by your provider.

- If you have a newer television with a digital tuner…you are already set.

- If you get your signal from an antenna, but don’t have a digital tuner, you will need to buy a converter box.  Click here to sign up for the $40 government coupon toward your converter box.

The digital transition will provide a better picture and better sound to your regular over-the-air receptions.  It also allows stations to multicast.  That means stations will have more than one channel.  For example, on 2-1 you will see News 2.  On 2-2 you will see our sister station The Lowcountry CW.

Thursday and Friday, News 2 is conducting a digital test.  During News 2 at 5pm, 6pm and 11pm on Thursday…we are shutting off our analog signal to give you the opportunity to see if you are ready.  We will do the same thing Friday on News 2 Today and News 2 Midday.

If you have any questions use the Keyword: DTV on the top of this page to be connected to our DTV section.
