Police, firefighters and SLED are all investigating a string of suspicious fires in Charleston.
The fires are started in the early morning hours, using items found on the front or back porch. Most have occurred at abandoned homes, and all share the same suspicious traits. Officials are asking the public to be aware of what’s going on in their communities, and to take some extra steps to be sure they stay safe.
The fire department recommends removing any unnecessary items from your front and back porch that could be used to fuel a fire. They also ask that you call authorities if you see any suspicious activity.
