High temperatures on Wednesday will once again struggle through the 40s with most of us topping out around the 50 degree mark. Another freeze is expected Wednesday night and Thursday morning for inland areas.  Coastal locations should stay mostly above freezing.  Low temperatures will range from near 30 inland to the middle 30s at the coast.

On Thursday, a pretty decent rebound in temperatures will occur with most of us reaching at least the lower 60s ahead of our next cold front.  A few clouds are also possible on Thursday afternoon but skies will clear with another round of cold air moving in for Friday and Saturday.  High temperatures will once again struggle to make it into the lower and middle 50s on Friday and Saturday with a moderating trend into the upper 50s expected by Sunday.

There are some indications a storm system may develop early next week.  There is a lot of energy in the atmosphere connected to the clashing of Arctic air over the continent and warmer waters over the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic.  For now, we will introduce a chance of showers late Monday and Tuesday just ahead of a cold front.  Even if we don’t see a storm, it looks like another shot of cold air will be gearing up to invade the southeast just in time for next week.  High temperatures on Monday will likely be in the lower to possibly middle 60s, with temperatures dropping off again by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Have a great Wednesday!
