The National Weather Service has issued a FROST ADVISORY from midnight through nine o’clock Monday morning for the following counties:  Beaufort, Charleston, coastal sections of Colleton, and Georgetown.  A FREEZE WARNING is in effect through nine o’clock for Berkeley, Dorchester, and inland sections of Colleton counties.

The combination of clear skies and light winds will allow temperatures to drop into the lower and middle 30s across the Lowcountry tonight into Monday morning.  Scattered to widespread frost can be expected away from the immediate waterfront by daybreak.

A FROST ADVISORY means conditions are favorable for the development of frost in the advised area.  Sensitive outdoor plants may be severely damaged or killed if left unprotected.  A FREEZE WARNING means conditions are favorable for temperatures to fall below freezing.  Temperatures this cold could end the growing season.
