A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 6PM for Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester, Colleton, and Beaufort Counties. An area of low pressure moving across Georgia is already producing numerous severe thunderstorms and that will spread into the Lowcountry this afternoon and evening. Severe thunderstorms could contain wind gusts to 70 mph and large hail up to 2 inches in diameter.
