Teen charged with armed robbery, attempted murder following downtown Charleston incident

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - The Charleston Police arrested the person who they say is responsible for assaulting a man Friday evening in downtown Charleston.

Neslyn B. Berroa, 19, is charged with armed robbery and attempted murder.

Authorities responded to Grimsley Hall, on The Citadel's campus, at about 9:30 p.m., on Friday, December 8 after Citadel Public Safety found a man with an injury to his left shoulder inside of the building.

The victim Kejuan Mills told investigators that he was assaulted and robbed in Hampton Park in the gazebo near Cleveland St.

Medics transported him to the Medical University of South Carolina for treatment.

We're told Mills is not a Citadel cadet.
