Several roads in downtown Charleston now open following repairs

CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) -- The Charleston Police Department says Rutledge Avenue and Bogard Street are now back open to traffic. The roads were closed while crews made repairs to several holes that were made to repair a gas leak.

The gas leak at Rutledge Ave and Bogard Street was repaired earlier this afternoon.

Rutledge Ave from the Crosstown to Spring Street was closed.  Bogard was also closed from Ashley Ave to Coming Street.

Residents at 240, 242, 244, and 246 Rutledge were also evacuated.
