Santa Claus is coming to town on Tuesday

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) - The prep and landing team at Charleston International Airport is ready for Santa's visit on Tuesday morning.

Santa is expected to arrive at CHS just before 9 a.m. aboard American Airlines flight 5309. He will greet passengers and guests on the airport's secure side, including the security checkpoint and the 15 boarding gates before making his way to the front of the airport. After a quick visit to ticketing and baggage claim, Santa will stop at the Christmas tree in the Arrivals Atrium. There, he will pose for photographs and hear Christmas wish lists from young and old alike.

The airport communications staff will take photographs and post the images on its Facebook page at facebook.com/@iflyCHS.

"We are honored that Santa will once again make an early stop in Charleston to spread holiday cheer with our passengers and the people working in the airport," said Paul G. Campbell Jr., executive director and CEO of the Charleston County Aviation Authority, owner and operator of Charleston International Airport.
