WFLA Staff - BOCA RATON, Fla. (WFLA) - A Florida woman was arrested Tuesday after police say she "tied a dog in wire and threw it into the Intracoastal and walked away."

On Monday, Boca Raton police said in a Facebook post that eyewitnesses saw the dog's owner, Eva Klein, throw the dog into the water. Those eyewitnesses quickly came to the dog's rescue and alerted 911.

The dog, affectionately known as Jellybean, spent part of the day with 911 dispatchers and then was picked up by animal control officers.
