SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - Officials are investigating the death of a man whose body was found beside railroad tracks in Spartanburg. The Spartanburg County coroner's office says the body was found by a passing train crew near some CSX tracks about 5:30 yesterday afternoon.

DUNCAN, S.C. (AP) - Spartanburg County authorities are investigating the death of a man who apparently fell from a bridge over Interstate 85. The coroner says the man was pronounced dead last night at the scene in the emergency lane of I-85 near the state Highway 290 bridge near Duncan.

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) - A retired New York corrections officer is accused of killing a man at the Orangeburg nightclub he owned. Sixty-nine-year-old James Williams is charged with murder in the death of 26-year-old Phillip Brunson on July 19 at the Corner Pocket Club.

GREAT FALLS, S.C. (AP) - A 14-year-old boy drowned at Lake Wateree State Park while swimming with his family. Jeramie Coleman drowned Saturday. The Fairfield County coroner says the teen swam too far into the lake and began struggling.
