Mount Pleasant is one step closer to banning texting while driving.
Three out of four members of the Police, Legal and Judicial Committee voted to ban text messaging while driving, on Monday night.
Mayor Billy Swails, Councilman Nick Collins and Councilwoman Thomasena Stokes-Marshall all voted yes. Councilman Paul Gawrych voted no.
The next step will be a public hearing, at the council meeting on April 13th.
