Charleston County School District will add four additional professional development days for teachers.
The Board voted 8-1 to approve board the extra days. The 2013-2014 academic calendar will have 194 days.
The Board also voted 9-0 to approve a recommendation to provide for investment in the professional development of selected teachers and support staff at the four Renaissance Schools (Burns Elementary, Sanders-Clyde Elementary, North Charleston Elementary School and Memminger Elementary).
