The National Weather Service tells me that 1.87" of rain has fallen today at the Airport (Where we keep official Charleston records).....This means we have now seen 10.46" of rain this month, and this is our wettest February on record.
The old record of 10.17" in February 1998 is replaced.
This is apparently also the first time on record where a driest month record (January) was followed by a wettest month record (February).
