J.K. Gourdin Elementary receives Cool School award

News 2 presents J.K. Gourdin Elementary with our Cool School Award.

All week, we've shown you all the cool things taking place at J.K. Gourdin Elementary in Pineville.

J.K. Gourdin has Palmetto Silver awards for student performance, and awards for making adequate yearly progress for several years.

The Berkeley county school has a family friendly atmosphere. The Dads Club and other parent and community volunteers provide strong community support. The school has a wonderful choir.
