Early Tuesday morning the CVS on North Main Street was robbed.

Witnesses described the suspect as a white male, 5'6", weighing 135 pounds.  The suspect had his face covered and entered the store armed with a hammer.

According to police the suspect jumped the pharmacy counter and demanded oxycontin.  The staff complied gave him an undetermined amount of medication.

No customers were in the CVS at the time and no employees were injured

Police are also investigating an armed robbery on March 21 at Walgreens.  Officials say it is too soon to comment if the two robberies are connected.

Photos of the suspect from each robbery are attached.

Anyone with information on the suspect should contact the Summerville Police Department at 843-851-4100.
