Mt. Pleasant and East Cooper Meals on Wheels partner for canned food drive

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC -

The Town of Mount Pleasant Public Services Department is partnering again with East Cooper Meals on Wheels for a "Healthy Canned Food Drive" during the week of April 1 through 4.

The Mount Pleasant Sanitation Division will pick up food items during their regularly scheduled collection routes to help stock the pantry at East Cooper Meals on Wheels.

On your scheduled garbage collection day, please remember to:

• Place your food donation in a grocery bag.
• Place the bag on top of your roll-out container.
• The Sanitation Division will pick it up during its normal routes.

You can volunteer with East Cooper Meals on Wheels, April 2-5 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
They need 10 to 15 people each day.  All volunteers must be at least 12 years old.
Youth groups are welcome to participate with an adult chaperone.
