Portion of King Street closed due to gas leak

CHARLESTON, SC -

According to authorities a construction crew struck a gas line at 429 King Street Tuesday afternoon.

Police say King Street is currently closed from Ann St. to Morriss St.

SCE&G is on site and assessing the situation.  There is no estimation for re-opening King Street.
