BCWS issues boil water advisory for parts of Summeville

Posted: Updated:
Moncks Corner, SC -

As a safety precaution, Berkeley County Water & Sanitation is issuing a boil water advisory for its customers in Tramway, Carriage Lane, The Village Mobile Home Park and any residents living along Rose Drive in Summerville.

Until further notice, residents are asked to boil all water that is used for drinking, cooking, and making ice prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil, and then boiled for an additional minute.

Once pressure has been restored, we will be flushing the mains and testing water samples to ensure that safe drinking water is restored to all homes.

Testing results will not be known until late tomorrow (Tuesday, April 23) so, this advisory will be in effect until further notice from BCWS.

Residents in this area are asked to call (843) 572-4400 or visit www.bcwsa.com if they have any questions or concerns.
