Two men charged in Goose Creek apartment fire plead guilty

GOOSE CREEK, SC -

Monday afternoon the two men accused of making methamphetamine that led to an apartment fire plead guilty.

40-year-old, Shonni Abernathy, and 35-year-old, Gerald McCabe, of Goose Creek plead guilty to manufacturing more than 50 grams of meth and one count of manufacturing meth in front of minors.

Prosectuors said the fire began in Abernathy's apartment where his 12-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old boy were living.  Investigators say they found reisdue and syringes used to inject meth in the apartment.

Three people died in the May 2012 fire at Pine Harbour Apartments, including Abernathy's daughter.
