Police investigate shooting at Johns Island convenience store

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC -

Wednesday evening at approximately 7:00 p.m. Charleston County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the Kangaroo Convenience Store located on Johns Island, in reference to a reported shooting.

When police arrived witnesses informed them that two vehicles involved in the shooting fled the scene. 

Authorities later found one vehicle involved on I-526 eastbound.  The vehicle was stopped near the 61 exit.  Police determined that one victim had bee dropped off at the hospital and the vehicle left.  The person left at the hospital had minor non-life threatening injuries.

Police found the second vehicle involved in the shooting at a home on Johns Island, they found a  second person involved in the shooting.

Investigators are trying to determine what happened and what roles the individuals played.
