Suspect in fuel tanker heist captured after foot chase

Colleton County High School, and other area schools are operating normally again after deputies catch the suspect they were searching for Friday morning.

According to Chief Deputy Ted Stanfield, a deputy stopped a vehicle near Colleton County High School, with a man suspected of stealing a fuel tank several weeks ago inside.

"Andy Montjoy was in the car and he took off into the woods, but we deployed the K-9s and shortly after that, we had him in custody", said Stanfield.

Colleton County High School, Colleton Prep, and a daycare center went under a precautionary lockdown during the short search.

    A North Charleston baseball team is heading back to the Lowcountry with a championship trophy in hand. The North Charleston Dixie Majors baseball team, representing South Carolina, won the Dixie Majors World Series in Ozark, Alabama. North Charleston lost the first game to Texas Wednesday 11-1, forcing a second game. The second game came down to the final out, with South Carolina beating Texas 2-1, winning the series.
