HAVELOCK, NC -

A mother of five children is facing an assault charge for punching another woman's daughter.

Havelock Police said 29-year-old Heather Taylor punched a 14-year-old girl in the face and spat on her.

Cell phone video showed the alleged brawl on Saturday around 7:30 p.m. outside the King Super Buffet in Havelock.

The victim, Treasure Severance, age 14, said it all started inside the restaurant, where she got into a confrontation with Taylor's daughter from school.

She said Taylor punched her several times in the neck and shoulder.

"She obviously was very mad for the fact that my mom said something, and said, ‘Oh, that's cute' to her. She's obviously mad I told her to get away," the teen told WNCT-TV.

Taylor is charged with misdemeanor assault and battery.
