MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Coastal Carolina poured it on UNC Wilmington on Tuesday.
The Chanticleers scored 14-runs in the first four innings on way to a 15-3 rout of the Seahawks at TicketReturn.Com Field.
Will Remillard capped a seven run, fourth inning with a RBI double. Remillard paced Coastal Carolina's 15-hit attack with a 3-for-4 effort with a career high five RBI.
Nick Oberg, Jake Kane, Connor Owings and Colin Hering also had multi-hit performances.
Tyler Herb pitched for the first time in five weeks and threw two scoreless innings striking out five while walking three. Herb (5-1) was credited with the win. Aaron Burke pitched four scoreless innings in relief.
UNC Wilmington scored three unearned runs in the seventh inning.
The game was Coastal's (33-18) final home contest of the 2013 season before ending the regular season with a three-game set at Charleston Southern May 16-18.
No. 14 South Carolina 4, Presbyterian 3
South Carolina hit a pair of sacrifice-flies in the bottom of the seventh inning and held on to beat Presbyterian 4-3 on Tuesday night at Carolina Stadium.
The Gamecocks scored two in the first inning, the first coming two batters in on a double from Chase Vergason. Grayson Greiner grounded into a run-scoring double-play to plate the second run.
PC scored a run in the second and tied the game with an RBI ground out in the seventh.
Graham Saiko and Chase Vergason hit the consecutive sacrifice flies for the victory.
Pitcher Patrick Sullivan (2-0) picked up the win after throwing 1.2 innings of relief. He gave up one run.
The Gamecocks belted out nine hits including two from both Dante Rosenberg and Max Schrock.
South Carolina is back on the road for a three-game SEC series with Mississippi State in the final weekend of the regular season. First pitch for the opener on Thursday is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
No. 15 Clemson 8, USC Upstate 7
Clemson freshman Kevin Bradley hit a three-run walk off home run to lead the Tigers past USC Upstate 8-7 on Tuesday night at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
The Tigers, who won their eighth game in a row, improved to 38-15 with their dramatic victory in their regular-season home finale.
Clemson jumped out to a 4-0 lead with a four run, second inning. Steve Wilkerson capped the inning with a two RBI single. USC Upstate battled back with a six run, third frame. Tyler Lesch's bases clearing triple put the Spartans ahead until the ninth inning.
With two on and one out, Bradley belted the first pitch to deep left field and over the fence for his first collegiate home run. Bradley finished the game 2-for-3 with two runs, one walk and he reached base another time by a hit by pitch.
Scott Firth (6-4), the last of six Tiger pitchers, earned the win. He gave up one run on one hit in 1.0 innings pitched. Jonathan Meyer tossed 3.2 scoreless innings in relief with four strikeouts as well.
Clemson will conclude the regular season with a three-game series at #8 Florida State starting Thursday at 6:00 PM.
