Deputy injured in West Ashley traffic accident

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a traffic accident that happened at around 3:00 Sunday afternoon.

A Charleston County sheriff's deputy was responding to a call of a separate accident when this accident happened on Glenn McConnell Parkway near Magwood Drive.

The deputy was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was also transported, but there is no word on that driver's injuries at this time.

There is no word on the cause of the accident at this time.
