Apparent sinkhole closes road on Isle of Palms

Isle of Palms police are directing traffic around what some officials are calling an apparent sinkhole.

Palm Boulevard between 8th and 9th Avenues is closed as a hole that is about 2 feet deep and 2 feet across has developed in the roadway.

Isle of Palms police officers are directing traffic around the area.

There is no word on when the road may open.
