Charleston County investigates early morning shooting at Ladson club

Posted: Updated:

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is investigating an overnight shooting on Wednesday that injured at least one person in Ladson.

The shooting happened at the Game Room at 3792 Ladson Road just after 3:00 AM.

The doorman of the game room says one group of 8 to 9 men were outside of the club when another large group of 10 approached. An argument began and several shots were fired from people in both groups.

When deputies arrived, they found a male victim inside the business with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. A vehicle was located in the parking lot which also had damage consistent with being shot. Several shell casings were located near the front door of the business.

The victim was transported from the scene for treatment of life threatening injuries.

Endrea who works at King's Pizza nearby says the club brings nothing good to the neighborhood and if they close it is for the better.

This is not the first time an incident has occurred. The game room was also the site of a December shooting that involved several people and one victim shot. One person has since been arrested for that shooting.

Investigators are searching for cars seen leaving the area.

No suspect or a motive have been identified and the incident remains under investigation.
