Communities in Schools yard sale in North Charleston

Communities In Schools (CIS) of the Charleston Area is hosting a yard sale on Saturday, June 15 at 8 a.m. - Noon. The sale will be located at 1090 E. Montague Ave, North Charleston and all proceeds will benefit CIS' schools in Park Circle.

Several individuals and businesses have donated gently used items for the sale. Items include bicycles, electronics, clothes, books and so much more! There will be great stuff for everyone to enjoy!

The sale is part of the CIS Community Circles project. Nicknamed "Circles," the program is an engaged group of parents, businesses, churches, community leaders and volunteers working together to pool their resources and support their neighborhood schools. Currently there are 10 Circles supporting 23 schools.

These funds from the sale will support the schools in the Park Circle: Chicora Elementary, Mary Ford Elementary, North Charleston Elementary, Morningside Middle and North Charleston High School.

Communities In Schools (CIS) is a nonprofit whose mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. CIS served more than 10,700 students in 23 Berkeley and Charleston County schools during the 2012-13 school year.
