As of late Monday morning, the National Hurricane Center in Coral Gables, FL began issuing advisories on newly formed Tropical Depression Two near the coast of Belize.

With maximum sustained winds of 35 MPH, the depression will move onshore later today and could emerge into the southern most part of the Bay of Campeche as early as tomorrow.

"This particular cyclone isn't of much concern for the United States," said Storm Team 2 Meteorologist Josh Marthers. "It will be a heavy rain producer for Belize and Mexico for sure though."

The depression could strengthen into a tropical storm either Wednesday or Thursday if the center moves over the southern Bay of Campeche.  If upgraded to a tropical storm, it's name will be Barry.
