CHARLESTON, SC - A Charleston man accused of touching himself inappropriately in public will not face prosecution.

Renzo Zeno Zanipolo was arrested and charged with indecent exposure in June 2013. Police say it was around 11:30 pm on Saturday night, when Zanipolo asked to borrow a woman's cell phone at a parking garage on Cumberland Avenue.

As the woman looked down, she told police she saw him touching himself inappropriately.

The City of Charleston Prosecutor's office told News 2, instead of prosecuting, they decided it was more appropriate  to send him through a program coordinated by the VA.

The charge against Zanipolo was dropped in December.
