A single-car accident on Interstate 26 sends one to the hospital.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the 21-year-old driver was traveling westbound on I-26 near mile marker 191 when he ran off the road and struck a tree. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was airlifted to MUSC. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
There is no update on his condition at this time.
The Highway Patrol is still investigating the collision.
