Deputies arrest man with gun in Charlie O's club parking lot

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC -

Sunday morning Charleston County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Charlie O's Club at 4 a.m. in reference to an armed person in the parking lot.

When police arrived security guards told them they noticed the suspect, Jaton L. Edwards, earlier in the evening at a club in Berkeley County and that Edwards had a gun in his possession while in a 2013 Chrysler.

When the guards observed the vehicle and subject in the parking lot of Charlie O's they approached the vehicle and at that time Edwards pointed the gun towards the guards. After being ordered by the guards to drop his gun Edwards complied and was held pending deputies' arrival.

Edwards was arrested and charged with Pointing and Presenting a Firearm and Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm in ABC Establishment.

Edwards was given a $100,000 bond Monday.
