Organizers expect some 33 million people to participate in National Night Out across the Country. Tuesday, several events are planned in Lowcountry.

    An investigation is underway in Berkeley County after a fatal hit and run, Wednesday evening.According to the highway patrol, the accident happened near Ranger Drive on SC-45. The South Carolina Highway Patrol's Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team is investigating the accident.Authorities at this time do not have a suspect or make and model of the vehicle that left the scene.We will continue to post updates here when more information is available.

    Authorities in Berkeley County have arrested the man, who they say, is responsible for multiple fires in the Goose Creek/Ladson area.Patrick Joseph Coxe was taken into custody on Monday and charged with three counts of 3rd degree arson, 2nd degree burglary, and malicious damage to property. At a bond hearing Tuesday evening, bond was set at $30,000.00 on each of the arson charges, $20,000.00 on the burglary charge and $2,105 on the malicious injury to property charge totaling $112,105.00.
