COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The man accused of murder in the death of the daughter of a South Carolina woman he once dated is scheduled to appear in court.

A hearing for 53-year-old Freddie Grant is scheduled for Wednesday in Richland County General Sessions Court.

Last week, Grant led officers to the body of 15-year-old Gabbiee Swainson after officers went to a federal prison in Kentucky where Grant has been serving a 17-year sentence for possession of ammunition that he wasn't allowed to have.

Gabbiee's mother last saw her daughter at their home a year ago. Authorities have said Grant dated the mother and used a key he claimed to have lost to enter the family's home and take the girl from her bed as she slept.
