GREER, S.C. -

Earl Simmons - the rapper known as DMX - was arrested again late Tuesday night in Greer.

Greer Police charged Simmons, 42, with simple possession of marijuana and served an active warrant for driving under suspension after the traffic stop on Wade Hampton Boulevard.

A Greer Police officer pulled over a truck Simmons was riding in for what he said was an improper lane change just before midnight.

The officer recognized Simmons - according to the incident report - and arrested him for the outstanding warrant. Simmons' home address is in Lyman.

The officer states the driver, Anitra Shalawn Rhodes, 39, of Greenville, was attempting to locate her license and registration when he noticed a bag of what he believed to be marijuana in the passenger seat.

Simmons denied the marijuana belonged to him before becoming "aggressive with his words and was making multiple idle threats" to the officer during questioning.

The Greer Police officer says three bags of marijuana were eventually found after a search of the truck later.

Rhodes was cited for the improper lane change and charged with simple possession of marijuana in the incident report.

Both suspects were taken to the Greer City Jail.

Video of the incident was posted to TMZ.
