Carolina Green Fair moves to James Island

Posted: Updated:

Sunday is all about going green.

The annual Carolina Green Fair found a new home this year at James Island County Park.

It was a free event providing a fun way to learn something new about being eco-friendly.

Suzie Webster, the executive director and co-founder of the Carolina Green Fair, says their goal is to reach the average person and to show how small changes in your household can lead to a big change for the environment.

The Medical University of South Carolina sponsored the Carolina Green Fair this year. MUSC is promoting the connection between going green with your well-being.

MUSC has developed a .5 acre Urban Farm downtown at the corner of Bee and President Street, encouraging the community to incorporate food and health with hands-on learning.
