News 2 investigates - Custodial investigation cost for Charleston County Sheriff's Office

CHARLESTON, SC -

The Finance Office for the Charleston County Sheriff's Office says it spent a total of $14,635.31 during their custodial investigation on the "Baby Veronica" case. Two trips were made to Oklahoma, escorting the child's adoptive parents, Matt and Melanie Capobianco.

Between August 29 and September 7, a total of $9,996.03 was spent on three deputies on the case.  Another $4,639.28 was spent between September 23rd through the 25th.
