News 2 investigates your tax dollars

The Finance Office for the Charleston County Sheriff's Office says it spent close to $15,000 during their custodial investigation on the "Baby Veronica" case. Two trips were made to Oklahoma, escorting the child's adoptive parents, Matt and Melanie Capobianco.

Between August 29 and September 7, a total of $9,996.03 was spent on three deputies on the case. Another $4,639.28 was spent between September 23rd through the 25th.
