Karen is expected to approach the northern Gulf Coast on Saturday, and bring with it heavy rainfall and gusty winds.
Karen dissipated into a remnant low as of Sunday morning. The center of low pressure lost most of its definition and the showers and storms associated with the low pressure are well to the east and southeast.
The remnants are expected to continue on an eastward path into the Southeastern United States before being absorbed into a cold front just to the west of the system. The environment surround Karen's remnants remains hostile so reformation is not expected.
The rain from Karen will move into the Southeast over the next several days bringing potential heavy rains to the region.
