Police cruiser hit while assisting disabled vehicle on the Ravenel Bridge

CHARLESTON, SC -

Monday afternoon two Mount Pleasant Police officers were sent to assist a disabled vehicle in the southbound lane of the Ravenel Bridge when one officer's car was hit by another car.

The vehicle, a burgundy Scion, that struck the police cruiser is now disabled on the Ravenel as well.

EMS responded and determined that neither the officer or the driver of the Scion had serious injuries.

The accident has been cleared and all lanes of the Ravenel Bridge are currently open.
