Hunting and fishing club opens in Summerville

Tuesday a hunting and fishing club celebrates the start of the first chapter in South Carolina.  Cross Trail Outfitters is a mentoring organization launching a new chapter in Summerville.

CTO is an outdoor club where young men from ages 7 to age 20 are paired with mentors. The mentors teach all sorts of outdoor skills.

The organizations plans hunting and fishing trips along with competitive shooting, summer camps, and international mission trips.

Mentors also teach about the Christian faith, though the organization isn't affiliated with any one denomination. The group will hold events at the Summerbrook Community Church in Knightsville.

The organization is still accepting applicants to be a part of programs. They're also looking for volunteers, land to use for outings, and business partnerships to support the programs. Many are offered for free.
