Murder trial of Marley Lion enters fourth day

CHARLESTON, SC -

The trial of Ryan Deleston, man accused of shooting and killing 17-year-old Marley Lion continues on its fourth day.

The prosecution called more witnesses who are telling explain how police pieced together their investigation.

Chris Singleton took the stand and describes how he and his cousin, Bobby Warthaw, purchased the murder weapon on July 15 from Ryan Deleston.

Video clearly shows Ryan Deleston selling the murder weapon, a 9 millimeter gun, to bobby Warthaw and Chris singleton a month after lion was killed.

Warthaw is a man with a long criminal record, who helped tip off police in return for a $13,200 reward from crime stoppers that was shared with Singleton.

The handful of investigators who took the stand described how the buy was set up, how they retrieved the gun's serial number and how Deleston became the focus of his investigation.

As we've reported Marley lion was killed in June 2012 in the parking lot of a bar when he pulled in to take a nap.
