Police arrest New Jersey fugitive in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC -

Thursday members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force received information that a fugitive from Hudson County New Jersey wanted for charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault, Endangering and Child Abuse, was in the area of 5900 Rivers Avenue North Charleston.

Task Force members responded to the address and located Drew R McKelvey (B/M 02-26-1972) of 4400 Clovewood Avenue Ladson.

The Hudson County Sheriff's Office New Jersey confirmed that McKelvey was wanted.

Additionally, the North Charleston Police Department confirmed an active Criminal Sexual Conduct Warrant. McKelvey was transported to the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center pending warrant service by the North Charleston Police Department and extradition by Hudson County N.J.
