Zombies invade the Holy City

Posted: Updated:

Zombies invaded the Holy City Sunday for the 4th annual Charleston Zombie Walk.

Starting in Marion Square and continuing down King Street, the zombie walk is a fundraiser for the Medical University of South Carolina's pulmonary hypertension program and Camp Happy Days, Kids Kickin' Cancer.

The year, Michael Koske, a walker from the hit television show "The Walking Dead" joined Charleston's un-dead.

The creator of Charleston Zombie Walk, Cassandra White, began the event in honor of a friend who passed away from pulmonary arterial hypertension complications. It's Charleston's premier zombie walk.

Last year, the walk raised over $3,000 for the two charities, and White's looking to top those numbers this year.
