Virginia State Police named the person who died in the crash as 22-year-old James Lineberry, of Hillsville.

Troopers believe Lineberry was driving a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire north on Route 52, when the car crossed the center line, and hit a 1999 Chevrolet Trailblazer going south head-on.  A 2003 Toyota sedan then rear-ended the Trailblazer.

Investigators say Lineberry was not wearing a seatbelt.

EMTs took the driver and passenger from the Trailblazer to a hospital for treatment of non-serious injuries.  The Toyota's driver luckily was not hurt.

State Police are still trying to figure out what caused the crash.
