Woman arrested after receiving a package of marijuana through the mail

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC -

On Thursday October 24 at approximately 11:30 a.m. Charleston County Narcotics detectives arrested Dana Zimmerman from Idaho after she received a package with marijuana.

Zimmerman was arrested and charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana after she approached the front counter of the Radisson Hotel on Rivers Avenue to retrieve a package she was expecting.

The package contained 4149 grams (9.14 lbs) of a substance that tested positive for marijuana with a street value of $41,490.00.

Zimmerman was transported to the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center. A bond hearing is scheduled for Friday October 2013 at 2 p.m.
