Missing NC teen found safe in Leland

BOLIVIA, NC - The Brunswick County Sheriff's Department was asking for the public's help locating a missing teenage boy.

According to deputies, DaMonte Batts, 15, of Wilmington was found safe in Leland, NC Tuesday afternoon.  Batts had been missing since 4 p.m. Monday.

He was last seen at North Brunswick High School wearing a grey Aeropostale sweatshirt and blue jeans

Deputies believed Batts could've been in danger at the time of the alert
